Opera concert – Cosnefroy Trio – baritone – cello – piano

The Cosnefroy Trio brings together a brother and two sisters, all musicians, in a unique ensemble: Milan Cosnefroy on vocals, Thaïs Cosnefroy on the cello and Maura Cosnefroy on the piano.
Driven by a strong artistic and family bond, the trio presents an original programme combining works from the great operatic repertoire, concert songs and pieces inspired by jazz and American musicals. The pieces are sometimes composed, but more often arranged for this ensemble by the trio’s members themselves as well as by other musicians.
Their repertoire, which is at once refined, accessible and varied, spans styles and eras to appeal to a wide audience. It brings together the romantic depth of Wagner, the poetry of Schubert, the dramatic intensity of Verdi, and the emotion of Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Fauré and Saint-Saëns. This classical repertoire is complemented by lighter, more rhythmic works from the American repertoire, notably by Gershwin and Bernstein, bringing colour, energy and a sense of connection with the audience.
