Biography :

Born in Brittany, France, Louise Fauveau-Sellin discovered the harp through the Celtic repertoire with Marie Conan and then Mariannig Larc'hantec, before turning to the pedal harp.

After training at the Conservatoire de Vannes in Anne Armelle Harnay's class, she continued her studies at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nantes with Nathalie Henriet, before joining the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in September 2023 in the class of Agnès Clément, solo harpist at the Théâtre royal de la Monnaie.

During her studies, Louise took part in masterclasses and academies with Fabrice Pierre, Alexander Boldachev, Sylvain Blassel, Pierre-Michel Vigneau, Audrey Perrin, Anne Le Roy Petit, Christine Icart and Sarah Verrue.

She has taken part in several competitions, winning second prize in the Dasson An Delenn Celtic Harp Competition in 2017, and has taken part in several editions of the Concours Français de la Harpe in Limoges.

She also performed as part of La Folle Journée in Nantes, in a chamber ensemble for choir and harp, where she interpreted the following works Vier Gesänge by Johannes Brahms and A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten under the direction of Valérie Fayet in 2022 and 2023.

She also took part in the Terraqué Festival in Carnac under the direction of Clément Mao-Takacs in 2018.

Louise is now continuing her training at the Conservatoire with the ambition of becoming a professional harpist.
